A world the child could belong to

The home she dreams of had to belong to her world. The making-of begins with storyboard work and character and environment references, establishing the child and the imagined setting before shaping the scenes.

From visual idea to an edited story

The visual direction changed from stone houses to a world of white crystal and emerald. The challenge was continuity: keeping the character and environment coherent as the visual world developed. Fady Ragheb’s direction and editing bring the imagery together through scene order, pacing and music. The case study links this process to the finished film, without treating the new cover artwork as a historical production screenshot.
